Welcome to Part 2 of the iPhone Wishlist which focuses on the iPhone XR and iPhone XS.
iPhone XR
The iPhone XR prices are $749 for the 64GB capacity, $799 for the 128GB capacity, and $899 for the 256GB capacity. This model is available in six vibrant colors: White, Black, Blue, Yellow, Coral, and Red.
iPhone XS
The iPhone XS is available in two sizes: the regular 5.8 inch display and the XS Max with a 6.5 inch display. The regular iPhone XS is priced at $999 for the 64GB capacity, $1,149 for the 128GB capacity, and $1,349 for the 256GB capacity. The iPhone XS Max is priced at $1,099 for the 64GB capacity, $1,249 for the 128GB capacity, and $1,449 for the 256GB capacity. Both iPhone XS models are available in Silver, Space Gray, and Gold.
What do these phones have in common? Both phones use Face ID instead of the traditional touch ID, utilize A12 Bionic Chips for powerful processing, and Wireless Charging instead of a cord.
What are the differences? The iPhone XR is a touch more affordable than the iPhone XS but it is lacking some key features for the price. The iPhone XS has a dual camera, OLED display, and a stainless steel band. However, the iPhone XR has a longer battery life and a larger screen in addition to the lower price point.
How to choose? iPhone users who care more about optical zoom and dual cameras then they might choose the iPhone XS. Price sensitive users might not feel the iPhone XS updates are worth the extra money. I believe that the average phone user would be pleased with either purchase as long as they choose based on their preferences.
I hope this article brought some clarity to your decision if you are interested in upgrading to a new iPhone. Apple also has a limited promotion right now called Apple GiveBack. It allows customers to trade their current iPhones for credit towards select iPhone models. Leave a comment below if you plan on purchasing an iPhone XR or iPhone XS.
