With thousands of great apps for preschoolers, it can be difficult to know which apps to download for your little one. While some apps are free, many of them are paid. It can be very frustrating to pay for an app that your child doesn't like or you don't approve of. I wanted share 7 great apps for preschoolers that my little guy is currently enjoying with you.

PBS Kids Video

In my opinion, one of the best apps for preschoolers is PBS Kids. With this app, your preschooler will be able to watch over 1,000 different educational PBS shows. The only downside to this app is that you have to have a Wi-Fi connection to watch the videos, but it's worth it. New videos are added each week and you can create a favorites list for your child.

Preschool Basics is a great app for teaching your son or daughter basics like their ABCs and 123s. It also helps them learn their colors and shapes. Each flash card used in this app is very colorful. You can also tap on each of the flash cards to hear the letter or number spoken.

To be honest, I rarely pay for apps because some of them are expensive and I worry that my children won't play them. Money Preschool Lunchbox is an app that I paid for and I must say that I am very pleaseed with it. This app teaches counting, letter recognition, and matching. Plus, kids love the little monkey that's featured throughout the app.

Simon Says

My son has recently discovered that he enjoys playing Simon Says, so this app is perfect for him. This is an all-in-one app that teaches shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and much more. If your child doesn't recognize what Simon Says right away, Simon will repeat himself. It's also a very easy to use app.

Some apps are disappointing because they fail to keep children engaged, but not this one. Barnyard Games for Kids is packed with activities to keep them both engaged and entertained. They will be able to tap the screen to hear different barnyard animal sounds. This app also helps improve hand-eye coordination with activities like balloon burst.

If your little one is a fan of Disney Junior shows, this is a great app for them. They will be able to watch these shows live or on demand, which is great if they happen to miss an episode.

If your child likes to color, I would definitely try this app. Coloring Book is very easy to use and is suitable for children under six. It includes a variety of different types of pictures to color, such as animals, cars, characters, and boats.
